Lyla in Year 2 was presented with a gift voucher for £30 from the Knights of St Columba for her winning entry in the Nativity scene Christmas card competition. Lyla’s picture was one of six winners in the local competition last December. These entries were entered into the national competition where they compete against other schools from all corners of the UK. We are delighted that Lyla’s picture was the overall winner in the younger age group and Lyla was presented with her prize and certificate during our celebrations assembly. Mr Ken Hargreaves, one of our parishioners and a St Columba knight presented Lyla with her prize. Well done, Lyla and well done St Bernadette’s for being winners for the third year running now. What amazing talented artists we have at St Bernadette’s!
