On Friday 27th May, local MP Paul Maynard visited Years 5 and 6 to answer questions impartially about the EU referendum.  His responses were informative and he was very impressed with the children's level of interest.

"Some of the best discussion I have heard, with some of the most searching questions for me, actually came yesterday when I went to see years 5 and 6 at St Bernardette’s Primary on Devonshire Road in Bispham. Having been well grilled by them in the past, it came as no surprise to me, but it does bring home that this is a decision we will make on their behalf, but which could affect their lives more fundamentally even than  our own. I’m glad they are thinking hard about the issues – and not just whether it will make summer holidays cheaper or more expensive!"
